20% of the students who enrolled for undergraduate programs in many universities across UK dropped out before the end of the first semester. Remedial classes in weak subjects only added to their study pressure and increased dropout rates.
Problem Identification and Fix
The tutors in the University of Bolton stopped remedial classes and worked on understanding the gaps in learning of each student. Tutors bridged the gaps in learning of each student through 1:1 tutoring. 97% of the students who received 1:1 tutoring showed huge improvement in grades and dropout rates came down to 12%.
