- What kind of training do I get as a SeekoG Teacher?

- What background do I need to become a SeekoG Teacher?
As a SeekoG teacher, you will get students in two different ways: Through digital advertising campaigns run by the SeekoG marketing team, and by making your own center well known locally. Through these channels, a new teacher typically starts with 2-3 students in the first couple of months and typically goes up to 6-10 students in 6 months and 10 to 18 students over a year.
- What if I cannot finish a concept in the allotted session time?
Try and stick to the time limit and cover the concept in the allotted session time. However, the primary responsibility is to explain the concept. So, if the session time exceeds by a few minutes, explain the concept completely.
- To explain the concept well, I need to teach related concepts. In such cases, can I teach the concepts the student hasn’t booked?
If the concept is related to the booked concept, then you can quickly go through other concepts. Do not teach unrelated concepts extensively. Ask the student needs to book another session for the other concept.
- What if a student asks a question which is not a part of the concept for which the session has been booked for?
If there is time at the end of the booked session, you can explain the other concept to the student. If the time does not permit, politely ask the student to book another session for that concept.
- I have an emergency. Can I reschedule a session?
Yes. Sometimes unexpected situations force us to cancel a session. You must request rescheduling 6 hours before the scheduled session.
- Can I use resource other than the textbook to explain a topic or cover it?
The tutors must explain concepts using textbooks of the respective board’s syllabus.
- Will I be trained to use the platform where the online 1:1 session will be conducted?
Yes. The right training will be provided by experts on the platform and teaching methodologies.
- Will there be a timer which would disconnect the sessions exactly after the allotted session time?
No. The sessions will not be disconnected immediately or abruptly. But you must keep in mind the time limit and cover the concepts within it.
- What to do if a topic takes more than the allotted session time?
All topic timings are planned by experts in the field of teaching and education after extensive research. However, if you think the topic requires more than the allotted session time, call and inform or email your point of view to your contact person at SeekoG and explain.
